Fr Thomas Chakalamattath a renowned musician and mentor who is the recepient of the honorary fellowship award from Trinity college of Music, London (2019) & best teacher award from the Kerala ParentTeachers Association (2019).
Fr Thomas Chakalamattath, director of Chetana Music Academy, Kerala, India is one of the most respected and influential figures in the field of music education in India. In a career spanning over 3 decades he has mentored and guided many present day master musicians like Stephen Devassy, Frijo Francis, Ralfin Stefen to name a few. He is a postgraduate in Commerce and also hold Bachelors degree in Philosophy and Theology. He not only holds diploma in Western music but also has deep knowledge of Carnatic music and has high level cerification in Veena. In 2019, on December 5th, Trinity College awarded 5 people from various parts of the world with ‘Member of Trinity College’ recognition, Fr Thomas is the only Asian on that list. The recognition was given after considering his contributions to the field of music education.
Sherif popularly known as Choreographer Sherif is a talented and a well-known Indian choreographer who has worked predominantly in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada movies. He’s choreographed for more than 100 songs and even made Superstar Rajinikanth shake a leg to his dance moves in Petta, and Actor Vijay in Theri. He has achieved great heights in the film industry in a short span of time. He also launched a dance company named Sherif’s Dance Company in Chennai. He was one of the mentors on Kings of Dance Season 2. Choreographer Sherif, recently became the first Indian to join the Global Dance Council, he is the convener of Global Dance Council (GDC)
