FR. THOMAS CHAKALAMATTATH

Prism Academy is blessed and immensely proud to be under the patronage of Rev. Fr Thomas Chakalamattath a renowned musician and mentor who is the recepient of the honorary fellowship award from Trinity college of Music, London (2019) & best teacher award from the Kerala ParentTeachers Association (2019).

Fr Thomas Chakalamattath, director of Chetana Music Academy, Kerala, India is one of the most respected and influential figures in the field of music education in India. In a career spanning over 3 decades he has mentored and guided many present day master musicians like Stephen Devassy, Frijo Francis, Ralfin Stefen to name a few. He is a postgraduate in Commerce and also hold Bachelors degree in Philosophy and Theology. He not only holds diploma in Western music but also has deep knowledge of Carnatic music and has high level cerification in Veena. In 2019, on December 5th, Trinity College awarded 5 people from various parts of the world with ‘Member of Trinity College’ recognition, Fr Thomas is the only Asian on that list. The recognition was given after considering his contributions to the field of music education.

Our instructors

Jessica Maria is a multi-talented singer, vocal coach, and skilled trumpet player with over 10 years of experience. A graduate of the prestigious Amadeo Roldan Conservatory of Music, she has performed with renowned ensembles, including the National Symphony of Cuba and the Chamber Orchestra of Havana. Jessica has captivated audiences at numerous classical music festivals, showcasing her diverse musical talents and passion for both vocal and instrumental performance.

Sami Al Jarrah is an experienced violinist and music science instructor for past 23yrs playing western and Arab music with different instruments. Have directed several music composition. His is honoured by embassy of Japan for Arts and skill program and also my several organisations in Qatar and he is a famous media celebrity and interviewed in several channels like Al jazeera, press like Al watan, Al sharq etc

Kalamandalam Prathika, a skilled Carnatic music teacher with a Bachelor’s degree from Kerala Kalamandalam, has trained over 200 students for events like Kalolsavam, Chembai Sangeetholsavam, and Dakshinamoorthy Sangeetholsavam. Mentored by legends O.K. Ambika, Kollam Balamurali, and Tripunithura Venushankar, she is the founder of Omkara Music Academy, inspiring young talents with her dedication and expertise.
